Our Core Values
How It Works
The Ignite Roadmap
Unlike one-off events, our programme is a continuous journey. Selected entrepreneurs go through a structured 11-Step Incubation Roadmap:
The Summit
Students get to meet with successful entrepreneurs from different fields and have a one-on-one interaction with them.
The Incubation 5 Months
Those registered are onboarded onto KLAPP, a Swiss-based online training platform, for secure and structured mentorship.
The Curriculum
Intensive training modules cover Design Thinking, Business Model Design, Marketing, Financial Accounting, and Legal Compliance.
The Grant
Upon successful completion and final pitching, winners receive seed funding of KES 100,000 (10 winners from each university) to launch.
Scale & Exit
Continued mentorship during the acceleration phase until the business is fully operational and sustainable.
Leadership
Dr. Fred Akama
Founder and Executive Director
Driven by a profound belief in the potential of African youth, Dr. Akama established the Project LIAM Foundation to bridge the critical gap between academic learning and real-world business execution.
Through the Young Entrepreneurs Ignite Program, his vision is to empower thousands of university students across Kenya, providing them not just with seed capital, but with the vital mentorship and structured roadmaps necessary to transform brilliant ideas into impactful, sustainable enterprises.
"We are not just funding businesses; we are building a resilient generation of problem solvers."
